Drew Carey in The Drew Carey Show is a fictionalized version of the real life Drew Carey (From here on fictional Drew Carey will just be Drew Carey and real life drew Carey will be real drew Carey). You would think real Drew Carey would want to portray himself as a very cool nice guy, which he generally does. Drew is kind of a Dilbert usual office guy, he's kind of awkward but he's sweet and he's smart and he cares about his friends, but he sometimes has moments of incredible cruelty. he's pretty vitriolic towards his coworker Mimi but that's to be expected because they are mortal enemies and she behaved the same way towards him any misogyny or fat phobia he throws towards her gets paid back. the moment that stands out to me is a as genuine cruelty that I'm surprised drew Carey would let the fictionalized version of himself do is in the episode married to a mob when he is through silly sitcom shenanigans married to two women at the same time and is hiding each of them from the other.

He works at the Winfred-Lauter department store (and later online shop neverendingstore.com but the later seasons are fucking disgusting and sacreligious.)
